Sonu Sood was born on 30 July 1973 in Moga, Ludhiana district of Punjab. Sonu did his schooling at Sacred Heart School, Moga and after that, he went to Nagpur to complete his graduation. He completed his graduation from Yashwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur.
Sonu wanted to become an engineer since childhood, but during his graduation, he was attracted to acting and modeling and he started modeling. After the completion of graduation, Sonu came to Mumbai in search of work, at that time he had only 5500 rupees in his pocket.
